Manoj was born and brought up in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, and qualified as a dental surgeon at the University of Bristol in 2008.
Following a variety of experiences working in both practice and hospital settings, Manoj passed the Royal College of Surgeons examinations to become a Member of the Joint Dental Faculties. He then completed a four-year specialty training programme in Periodontology at the highly regarded Guy’s Dental Institute, where he was awarded the Ron Wilson Postgraduate Research Prize.
Alongside working in specialist clinical practice in the Surrey and Hampshire regions, Manoj regularly delivers lectures on a variety of periodontal topics and was awarded Faculty status with the British Society of Periodontology in recognition of his evidence-based delivery of education. Whilst serving on the BSP Council as the 2018 Chair of the Early Career Group, Manoj was part of the BSP’s implementation team for the new classification of periodontal and peri-implant diseases and co-authored the BSP’s implementation guidelines and case report papers in the British Dental Journal.
Outside of dentistry, Manoj is married and has one son who keeps him busy with an array of toddler-related activities! Where possible, he enjoys playing cricket, badminton and football and also has a background in Latin and Ballroom Dancing, having competed in National competitions for the University of Bristol.
