Join us for a fun and engaging day where we will introduce you to the world of aesthetic periodontal surgery and provide hands-on training in surgical crown lengthening.
The course is highly interactive and participants are encouraged to bring along their own cases for group discussion.
Delegates will be provided with copies of the course notes and have access to surgical videos following the course. We will also provide consent letter templates for you to use in practice.
All instruments and materials will be provided. Participants are requested to bring loupes with them for the hands-on sessions.

9.00am Lecture: Think Pink!
Understanding the role of aesthetic periodontal surgery.
10.30am Coffee
10.50am Lecture: Crown Lengthening theory, treatment planning and techniques
We will discuss case selection, treatment planning, consent and adjuncts to crown lengthening i.e. wax-ups and stents.
11.30am Hands-on: Basic flap design and the Apically Repostioned Flap
Hands-on session using pigs jaws. We will look at basic surgical techniques, anatomy and use different instruments to achieve the osseous re-contouring.
1pm – Lunch
2pm Hands-on: Resected Flap
Hands-on session using pigs jaws. We will look at this approach for providing crown lengthening and discuss the role of a simple gingivectomy.
3.30pm Coffee
3.50pm – Case discussion
We will look at cases to help you build this skill into your daily practice. Delegates are encouraged to bring their own cases for discussion and planning.
